Calman Trust. Leaving HOME in the Highlands

The Dove project will work across the Highlands with young people and agencies to explore the circumstances and pressures which lead to homelessness.

The service will develop regular local points of contact with young people through schools and other venues.  The service will work locally with young people to explore the reasons and effect of homelessness and provide accurate information and advice so that they are better prepared when they leave home and know their housing options.

The service aims to develop local networks of professionals to whom young people can be appropriately directed.  The service will work with everyone to promote good practice and also to highlight unmet need.

Young people will be supported to become involved in other aspects of the work of Calman and to have their voices listened to.  The aim is to be a hopeful, encouraging, listening and relevant service.
