Calman Trust. Leaving HOME in the Highlands

Heather Pirie - Peer Education Officer

My Job: I think I have an interesting job, working with 16-26 year olds who are interested in delivering training and information sessions to other young people on a range of different issues.
Happiest when: With people that make me laugh, wearing wellington boots on a rainy day walking through the woods, playing in the snow, hearing children laugh, in the Pyrenees,
reading a good book, playing my tin whistle.
Scared of: Heights.
Music I like: I listen to different kinds of music and I don't really have a favourite.
Favourite Films: Top Gun, Muppet's Christmas Carol (or any Muppets).
Things that annoy me: Animal hairs that get everywhere, midges, rude taxi drivers, people that lie.
Things I couldn’t live without: Special people in my life, pasta, my duvet, pen and paper, diary, mobile phone, fruit, bottled water and trees.

U2 ---- They roll
Favourite Films: Thelma and Louise
Things that annoy me: Not much
Things I couldn’t live without: Family, friends, my dog and swimming down the beach when I go back to Australia to visit , oh and vegemite!

Music I like: U2, Delirious? And a variety of stuff
Favorite films: Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart and Bruce Almighty, to name but a few!
Things that annoy me: Cruelty and injustice

Mairi MacDonald

My Job: Housing Support Worker
Happiest when: When I’m with my friends or family and feeling content with my life so far.
Scared of: Breaking down in my wee car, on my own and not having a clue what to do.
Music I like: Huge variety from The Vatersay boys to good African dancy tunes
Favourite Films: The Piano, Crash, 21 grams
and Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop
Café and Madagasgar when watching with
wee people!
Things that annoy me: Litter, people’s intolerance of others, my indecisiveness at times and plastic packaging.
Things I couldn’t live without: Sunshine, something interesting to read, exercise of any sort, and the people I love, not necessarily in this order.

Rosa Jack - Literacy Trainee
Happiest When: It's sunny and I'm at the beach, and when I get a really long lie in.
Scared of: Spiders.  In fact, bugs in general.  Also, deep water.
Music I Like: No Doubt, Portished, Mika, The White Stripes and on certain occassions the Spice Girls!

Scared of: Spiders and clowns!!!
Music I like: Queens of the Stone Age, Bob Dylan, Rihanna... a bit of everything really!
Favourite Films: So many...my favourites are Gladiator and Shaun of the Dead.
Things that annoy me: Advert breaks inbetween a good film. Bank machines that charge you to withdraw your own money!!  And, when I spill food/drink down my top (especially when I've just put a clean one on!) - it happens far more often than it should!
Things I couldn’t live without: my hot water bottle and a nice cosy hoodie.
